Block Grafts

A bone block graft is a surgical procedure, from the chin or lower jaw area, using the existing bone material of the patient. This type of bone grafting is used in cases where severe jawbone deterioration has occurred and the bone has diluted significantly – and will not be able to provide a secure base for attaching the implants.

Bone block grafting is typically used for long-term users of dentures or those who have suffered from long-term tooth loss. Significant bone deterioration is common in these cases, and a block bone graft will benefit the quality of the jawbone.
